Finlay I have received that Sansui the biggest receiver. As I am happy what tuner preamp part is almost mint, the power part of that receiver was badly damaged by corrosion (I think by Coca-Cola somewhere in the past). Because I don’t like talk so much, I am going to show you the pictures….
That was tuner-preamp of G22000 receiver… so as you can see it is almost in perfect condition, front plate is without damages or scratches!
Now… Power part of G22000:
Until now, all it seems to me was good…
but when I opened it… wow…. What to say….
close view show that I cannot be a happy….
As I said, It looks like someone spilled Coca Cola into the receiver and never cleaned it up and let it just eat through the metal and make everything rust.
With all those bad things, when I switched on receiver, it was working, but after a few minutes it would go to the protection mode!
So… in that time I knew that a big work was waiting for me… so, the first step was to dismount all…
BUUUT… everything could be fixed!
First, transformer…
And then other parts…
if you see that picture how it was this part before restoration
and how it looks like now:
so… really it is now like a new! I am really happy!
More pictures how the power part of that G220000 looks now…
So, I finished with that part of restoration, the next step is to do restoration job on electronics…
Main Capacitors
I decided to bought Rubycons 100LSW22000MNB64X119 directly from Farnell UK, those capacitors are with lifetime 3000 hours @ 105°C!
I made a really good connection with receiver wiring

volume potentiometer for G22000
After I opened it, really it was in nice condition, very clean and dry, but it had oxidation issue, so because of that it was not working at small signal level as it should be…
